Why Stay at 21KR?

A Quiet Location Close to the Championship

After a busy day at The Open, return to the peace and comfort of 21KR. Our location offers the best of both worlds: a quiet residential setting with easy access to St Andrews, the Old Course and tournament activities. Guests are welcome to relax in the house and garden, where there are several comfortable seating areas for reading, enjoying a drink, or socialising with fellow guests after a day of golf.

Start Your Day with an Excellent Breakfast

A hearty breakfast is included to help you make the most of your day at The Open. Guests regularly praise the quality of our breakfasts and the friendly atmosphere we provide.

Free Parking

Parking can be a challenge during major events in St Andrews. Guests staying at 21KR benefit from convenient on-street parking, making arrival and departure easier during tournament week.

Proximity to the Old Course

During The Open, we recommend leaving your car at 21KR, as parking in and around the championship venue is extremely limited. The Old Course is approximately 8 minutes away by car or taxi, although journey times may be longer during the event and taxis should be booked well in advance. For those using public transport, there are regular bus services just a 2-minute walk from the house, providing easy access to the town centre, from where it's only a short walk to the Old Course. Alternatively, many guests enjoy walking, with the 18th green approximately 25 minutes away on foot from 21KR.
